The Surin Elephant Round-up is held in November each year to promote a better understanding of the physiology and versatility of Thai elephants. The Surin Elephant Round-up is held each year on the third Saturday of November. We will leave Bangkok mid-morning on the Thursday and be in Surin late afternoon.

Friday morning is taken up with the special breakfast in the city centre for a magnificent procession of up to 300 elephants. Afternoon is left free to explore and in the evening we'll attend the Light & Sound show at Sikhoraphum Castle. More...

Every year 250 elephants take part in this event at Sri Narong Stadium with displays of log carrying and a tug-of-war against Thai soldiers. The highlight of the show is the mock battle, which highlights the talent and strength of this lovable animal.
: Return to Bangkok
After lunch we'll leave for Bangkok. You can expect to be back in the city around 8:00pm depending on the traffic.
